Artist

Baritone Scott LaGraff, Assistant Professor of Voice at Stephen F. Austin State University, has appeared twice with Opera East Texas: as Sciarrone in Tosca and most recently as Dick Deadeye in HMS Pinafore.  Other credits include performances of Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni) and Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro) with Tri-Cities Opera, Angelotti (Tosca) and Zuniga (Carmen) with Syracuse Opera, and covering the Count Des Grieux (Manon) for Tulsa Opera and Colline (La Bohème) for Des Moines Metro Opera, as well as appearances with Pensacola Opera, Westchester-Hudson Opera and Ithaca Opera.  Concert engagements include solo performances with the Baton Rouge Symphony, the Syracuse Symphony, the Canterbury Choral Society, the Orchestra of the Pines, the Binghamton Pops, the Ocean City Pops, at Carnegie Hall with MidAmerica Productions, and at the Northern Oklahoma College Pops Gala under the baton of Gerald Steichen.  An advocate of contemporary American song, Dr. LaGraff recently recorded his first CD, which is due to be released in March by Centaur Records.  The Athens, OH, native holds degrees from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, the State University of New York at Binghamton and Louisiana State University.
